Ingredients for Your Peanut Butter Oreo No-Bake Cheesecake Masterpiece
Creating this incredible dessert requires just a few simple ingredients, most of which you likely already have in your pantry or can easily find at any grocery store. The key is to use quality ingredients to achieve the best flavor and texture.
Bottom Crust
- **2 rows (10 ounces) of Oreo cookies** (from a standard 14.3-ounce Oreo cookie package) – The foundation of our cheesecake, providing that essential chocolatey crunch.
- **5 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted** – Binds the Oreo crumbs together, forming a firm, buttery crust.
Cheesecake Layer
- **1 teaspoon vanilla extract** – Enhances the overall flavor profile of the cheesecake, adding a warm, aromatic note.
- **2 – 8 ounce packages of plain cream cheese, room temperature** – Crucial for a smooth, lump-free cheesecake filling. Room temperature cream cheese blends much more easily.
- **1 – 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk** – Provides the sweetness and contributes significantly to the creamy, dense texture of a no-bake cheesecake.
- **1/4 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice** – A surprising but essential ingredient that adds a bright, tangy counterpoint to the sweetness and helps set the cheesecake.
Toppings Layer
This is where you can truly make this cheesecake your own, adding generous amounts of delectable additions to crown your creation.
- **1 recipe Vanilla Whipped Cream *optional*** – A light, airy addition that provides a wonderful contrast to the rich cheesecake.
- **Melted chocolate, like Homemade Chocolate Shell *optional*** – For an extra layer of chocolatey goodness and a beautiful presentation.
- **2 cups (8 ounces) Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, quartered** – The star topping, offering that signature peanut butter and chocolate flavor in every bite.
- **5 ounces crumbled Oreo cookies** (This amount is approximately a single row of cookies from the 14.3 oz package) can be broken by hand – More Oreos for texture and visual appeal, reinforcing the theme.

Essential Kitchen Tools for Your No-Bake Cheesecake
To whip up this delightful dessert with ease, gather these simple kitchen tools:
- **8″ x 8″ inch square baking dish** – The ideal size for this layered cheesecake, ensuring perfect slices.
- **Food processor** *optional* (you can always just put the Oreo cookies in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin) – Makes quick work of crushing those Oreos into fine crumbs.
- **Electric hand mixer** – Essential for achieving a super smooth and creamy cheesecake filling.
- **Medium mixing bowl** – For combining the Oreo crust ingredients.
- **Large mixing bowl** – For preparing the creamy cheesecake filling.
- **Baking spatula** – For spreading layers evenly.
- **Sharp knife** – For quartering the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
- **Cutting board** – A safe surface for chopping your toppings.
Tips for Perfect Peanut Butter Oreo No-Bake Cheesecake
- **Room Temperature Cream Cheese:** This is crucial! Cold cream cheese will result in a lumpy filling. Take your cream cheese out of the fridge at least 30 minutes to an hour before you start, or even longer if your kitchen is cool.
- **Finely Crushed Oreos:** For the crust, ensure your Oreo crumbs are fine and uniform. This helps them bind better with the melted butter and creates a solid, stable base. A food processor is ideal, but a sealed bag and rolling pin work too!
- **Firmly Press the Crust:** Once the Oreo and butter mixture is in the pan, press it down firmly and evenly using the bottom of a glass or your knuckles. A compact crust prevents crumbling when serving.
- **Adequate Chilling Time:** Don’t rush the chilling! Each layer needs time to set properly. The final cheesecake should chill for at least 2.5-3 hours, or ideally overnight, to ensure it’s firm enough to slice cleanly and that the flavors have fully developed.
- **Fresh Lemon Juice:** While bottled lemon juice can work in a pinch, fresh-squeezed lemon juice provides a brighter, more vibrant flavor that truly elevates the cheesecake layer.
- **Optional Toppings:** While the Reese’s and Oreos are fantastic, don’t be afraid to experiment! A sprinkle of sea salt flakes can enhance the chocolate and peanut butter, or you could add mini chocolate chips.
Serving and Storage Suggestions
This **Peanut Butter Oreo No-Bake Cheesecake** is best served chilled. The cold temperature enhances the creaminess of the cheesecake layer and the delightful crunch of the crust and toppings. Feel free to skip that pint of ice cream and reach for a slice of this for a new level of **chocolate** decadence!
To store any leftovers, cover the baking dish tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil. It will keep well in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, you can slice the cheesecake into individual portions, wrap each slice tightly in plastic wrap, and then place them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month. Thaw in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.

The recipes on this blog are tested with a conventional gas oven and gas stovetop. It’s important to note that some ovens, especially as they age, can cook and bake inconsistently. Using an inexpensive oven thermometer can assure you that your oven is truly heating to the proper temperature. If you use a toaster oven or countertop oven, please keep in mind that they may not distribute heat the same as a conventional full sized oven and you may need to adjust your cooking/baking times. In the case of recipes made with a pressure cooker, air fryer, slow cooker, or other appliance, a link to the appliances we use is listed within each respective recipe. For baking recipes where measurements are given by weight, please note that results may not be the same if cups are used instead, and we can’t guarantee success with that method.
